A beautiful day, and creative minds lead to an adventure and Foodster filled day.
It was a beautiful day and Anna and I came up with a great idea to have a tasty lunch and enjoy the outdoors. No, we didn’t pick up sandwiches from a local deli, we headed to Fareway. We were craving some brats and they had an awesome selection. We picked out PepperJack Jalepeno and Blue Moon Mandarin Orange brats. Yeah, we hadn’t heard of Blue Moon brats either, but they were delicious. Instead of heading back home and grilling out we took our backpacking gear and hiked about 20 minutes to one of our “secret” spots just outside of Ames.

Once they were done boiling, it was time to find some sticks and start the roasting process.
It worked. Great lunch, and a relaxing one in the great outdoors.
