So, driving down South Duff, I noticed a new building being built right next to the old Happy Joe’s Pizza place. What could possibly go in now on South Duff. That street is already like the Las Vegas Strip. Busy at all times of the day and lined with building after building. Alright, maybe not quite like the Strip, but it’s something you can compare it to.
According to a couple people, this new building is going to be a Texas Roadhouse. Can you believe that someone was risky enough to put in a Texas Roadhouse just a street or two down from Hickory Park. How dare they, or I should say, what a risk! Risk is part of business though. Obviously, this franchisee finds a fit for Texas Roadhouse to be in town.
Despite the added competition to Hickory Park, Texas Roadhouse is pretty tasty. They have those delicious warm sweet rolls that they continuously place on your table. A good pulled pork sandwich is on the menu, as well as meaty steaks. The last time I ate at Texas Roadhouse was when the track team and I were in Texas for the Big 12 Indoor meet. Just because it was in Texas didn’t add any extra flare or menu options. It was the same as the one in West Des Moines.
Well, that was all. Just giving you a heads up that Texas Roadhouse has decided to post up in Ames on South Duff, across from Walmart.
