The other night, I had made a burger on my George Foreman. It was actually really good. The burger cooks a lot better than a chicken breast. With my left over hamburger I decided to make Sloppy Joes. They were, in my mind, outstanding. A couple of roommates got a taste and they thought it was awesome as well.
Make this for an easy, and tasty dinner tonight: Nick’s Sloppy Joes.
What you are going to need:
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
- 1 lbs. of beef. (Fareway has great beef at a great price)
- 1/2 cup of Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- Hy-Vee seasoning salt.
- 1/2 can of Hy-Vee Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies.
In a large skillet add 1 teaspoon of olive oil; brown the ground beef, and drain excess fat off the meat.
After draining the excess fat go ahead and sprinkle the meat with seasoning salt; mix it around and then add the rest of the ingredients.
(Add 1/2 cup of Ketchup, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and 1/2 can of the diced tomatoes with green chilies.)
Let that simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve open faced, or closed. I ate my open faced with shredded Colby Jack on top.
ENJOY!
