Well, this is where it’s all going to happen.
I just moved into my apartment less than a week ago. I’ve been spoiled at home with a gas range which makes cooking super easy, as well as a stocked fridge and numerous spices and such. Now, it’s college time. I’ve got to learn how to start fresh and build up my kitchen and plan my own meals for the week. I think I’ve got some of the basics–>[slideshow] … plus some cereal and bread. I’ll be okay for the next couple of days. 🙂
. I’m really looking forward to it, but I’m also going to finally understand what it means to prep meals for the week.
I found this great site today that I might follow for a few weeks. It’s called 5 Dollar Dinners. It’s written by Erin Chase and she has a whole weeks worth of meals planned out as well as itemized grocery list so the only thing you have to do is get the groceries and cook! I can easily do that! She also has coupons that help you save money, so convenient! So, all you college kids, check out 5 Dollar Dinners!
I can’t wait to share what I’ll be cooking up for my roommates and I.. and whoever else wants to drop by.
What are some tips/pointers to starting off in your first apartment (food or non-food related) SHARE! 🙂
