Mushroom Swiss

I always find is disappointing when you order a mushroom and swiss burger to only get the mushrooms straight from the can. Today, I ate lunch at Hickory Park in Ames. That is some great barbecue up there. Instead of waiting for a table, I got my lunch to-go. It was very quick service! I always enjoy their hamburgers up there. Today, I ordered a mushroom swiss burger. I was looking forward to this burger. I pictured sauteed mushrooms and a great piece of swiss cheese. I did get the great piece of swiss cheese, but the mushrooms were straight from the can. I mean, really? I guess I did order a ‘mushroom’ burger, not a ‘sauteed’ mushroom burger. I always find that kind of bummer when they don’t take time to make them ‘fancy’. I guess, I could have asked them to do that.. Next time, I’ll just stick to my bacon and cheddar burger.
