The Hub

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday you can find Megan and I hanging out at The Hub. The hub is located in central campus near Parks Library. This is a popular spot for kids to come hang out in between classes- just like what Megan and I do.

Here, we have the option of getting Caribou Coffee and pastries or getting something from the Hub grill – all in one building!

We usually start our break with waiting in line for coffee. Real coffee, none of that foo foo coffee drink stuff- delicious dark coffee is what we get. I would post a picture of the line but, surprisingly, there isn’t one today. Some people stand inline for up to 15 minutes.

After the coffee we move towards the Hub grill and pick up their breakfast combo. It’s a great deal. For about $3 we can get, basically, an egg McMuffin, a drink, and one side. For the sandwich: You either have a choice of a biscuit or english muffin. Then you get  a fried egg with or without cheese- you gotta get it with the cheese. The last thing you get to decide is bacon or sausage. We always pick sausage. Why, because you get “more” and it’s delicious. Otherwise, with the bacon, you only get 2 pieces and they aren’t too big or meaty. After building your egg sandwich you complete the combo with a choice of O.J. or Apple Juice and then yogurt or fresh, whole fruit. It’s a great breakfast!

If you’re looking for a coffee shop atmosphere and a good deal on breakfast, make sure you stop by The Hub on central campus tomorrow morning. The only downside is be prepared to wait in line for coffee and claim a seat with your backpack- the place fills up fast.

Oh, one more thing – they take dining dollars!
